Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club is looking for an experienced and motivated
Restaurant Manager
to join our management team and take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our busy Bistro.
We're looking for someone who is a
strong leader, highly organised and passionate about delivering great customer service
. This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and developing a strong team culture.
About the Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and professional operation of the Bistro, working closely with our Head Chef, Operations Manager and senior management team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading, motivating and developing the Bistro/front-of-house team
Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service
Managing busy lunch and dinner services
Staff rostering and maintaining appropriate wage levels
Recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing staff development
Ensuring presentation and service standards are maintained across every shift
Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient communication between front and back of house
Managing customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
Monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience
Ensuring RSA, WHS and Club policies and procedures are followed
Supporting promotions,



functions and major Club events
Being actively involved on the floor during peak trading periods
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has previous restaurant, bistro or hospitality management experience
Is a confident and positive people leader
Can manage a high-volume operation and remain calm under pressure
Has strong communication and organisational skills
Understands rostering, labour management and hospitality costs
Sets high standards and holds their team accountable
Is comfortable having difficult conversations when required
Has a genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
Is available across a flexible roster, including nights and weekends
Wants to become an important part of the Club and help continue developing our hospitality offering
