About the role
We are seeking a
part-time OSHC Coordinator to work 12:00pm–6:00pm
within our well-established OSHC program, located on the beautiful grounds of
Maria Regina Primary School Avalon NSW
.
During school terms, the service operates Monday to Friday from 3:00pm–6:00pm, with the Coordinator working from 12:00pm–6:00pm.
The position can be offered as term time only, or as a full-year position.
For those wishing to work across the full year, the role will be based at Maria Regina during school terms, with work during school holidays available at one of our Vacation Care services located across the Northern Beaches. This provides flexibility for the successful applicant to choose whether they would like to include school holiday work as part of their position.
This is as a Permanent Part-time position
Duties
Engaging, implementing, and evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children and meets the requirements of the 'My Time - Our Place' Framework.
Understanding the requirements of being the Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
Ensuring compliance to the National Quality Standards and the Regulations.
Building ongoing positive relationships with the school, families, and employees.
Where needed take on the role of Educational Leader within the service.
Working on administrative tasks and efficient day to day operation of the service.
Requirements
Working with Children Check.
Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain
Current First Aid certification/CPR certification/Asthma and Anaphylaxis or willingness to obtain
Supervisor Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain
Foundations of child safety training certificate or willingness to obtain
Highly Desirable
Qualifications in OSHC or Early Childhood
Experience as a Coordinator
Experience in working in outside school hours care.
Skills and experience in team leadership.
Knowledge of regulations relevant to Outside School Hours Care and the National Quality Framework – My Time Our Place, as it applies to Outside School Hours Care.
