Our client is a new generation of trucking company, operating an entire fleet of fully electric prime movers powered by wholesale renewable energy. They are gearing up to take on the transport industry in a way we haven't seen before – and as their operations continue to expand, we are now looking for an experienced Car Carrier Driver to help establish their Victorian operation.
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly reliable Car Carrier Driver to commence mid-October.
Operating between Derrimut and Laverton through to Kilsyth, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles while representing our client professionally across their Victorian operation.
This is a particularly important position within the business. As our client does not currently operate from an established Victorian site, we need someone who is confident working autonomously, can take ownership of their day and doesn't require constant supervision.
If you have proven car carrier experience and like the idea of joining an innovative transport company as it establishes its presence in Victoria, this could be an exciting opportunity.
Hours of Work 6:00am to approximately 4:00pm–4:30pm
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a car carrier and transport vehicles between locations
Complete regular runs between Derrimut, Laverton and Kilsyth
Safely load, secure, transport and unload vehicles
Conduct pre-start and vehicle safety inspections




Ensure vehicles are transported without damage and handled with care
Complete required transport and delivery documentation
Plan and manage your daily workload and movements efficiently
Communicate professionally with customers and operational contacts
Maintain compliance with road transport, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirements
Work autonomously and take ownership of the Victorian operation
Represent the business professionally at all times
About You – To be successful, you will have:
Previous car carrier experience – essential
Appropriate current heavy vehicle driver's licence
Demonstrated experience safely loading and unloading vehicles
Solid understanding of load restraint and vehicle transportation requirements
Confidence working independently with minimal supervision
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
A professional and reliable approach to your work
Strong commitment to safety and compliance
Good knowledge of Melbourne's western and eastern transport corridors
Ability to commence from mid-October
Above all, we are looking for someone who can take ownership of the role. You will be the person on the ground representing this growing operation in Victoria, so reliability, communication and initiative will be just as important as your driving experience.
