We are looking for a motivated and analyticalprofessional to join our team as a Business Performance Officer.
In this role, you will work closely with managers across Council to provide financial analysis, support budgeting and forecasting, and identify opportunities to improve business processes and service delivery. You will help turn data into meaningful insights and contribute to projects that make Council more efficient, effective and customer-focused.

What you will do
Support managers with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
Prepare reports, dashboards and business cases to support decision-making.
Review and map business processes to identify improvements.
Work with staff across Council to improve efficiency and service delivery.
Help identify opportunities to better use systems, technology and automation.
Contribute to business improvement projects across the organisation.
Develop practical recommendations and support implementation of approved improvements.
About you
You will be someone who enjoys analysing information, solving problems and working collaboratively with others.
You will also bring:
Experience analysing financial information and supporting budgeting or reporting processes.




Experience reviewing business processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex information in a clear and practical way.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience using financial or ERP systems.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Qualifications and Experience
Certificate qualification in Finance, Business, Information Technology or a related field, with relevant experience.
A degree or progress towards CPA/CA will be highly regarded.
Experience in Local Government or the public sector is desirable but not essential.
A National Police Check will be conducted on the preferred candidate.

Approximately $93,830 p.a. + 15% superannuation
Four weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading
12 days' personal (sick/carer's) leave
Paid parental and adoption leave
Long service leave (pro-rata after 7 years)
