Join a dedicated and growing Liverpool Hospital Pharmacy team in a newly established Clinical Trial Pharmacist position.
Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and research teams to support a diverse portfolio of clinical trials across a range of specialties, including Medical Oncology and Haematology.
Further develop your specialist expertise in clinical trial pharmacy while contributing to the safe and effective delivery of investigational medicines.
Play an important role in advancing innovative treatments and research, helping to improve patient outcomes.
Apply your specialist knowledge to optimise medication therapy, support medication safety initiatives and contribute to the successful delivery of complex clinical trial protocols.
Are You the Right Fit?
We're looking for a proactive and highly organised pharmacist who is passionate about clinical research, medication safety and delivering exceptional patient care. You'll thrive in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, bring strong attention to detail and clinical judgement, and be committed to supporting the safe and compliant delivery of clinical trials and specialist pharmacy services.
Experience in clinical trials pharmacy, including the management of investigational medicines.
Knowledge and experience in medical oncology and haematology pharmacy practice.




Capability in aseptic and cytotoxic compounding and the safe handling of high-risk medicines.
Ability to adapt and effectively manage competing priorities in a complex healthcare environment.
Solid attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to medication safety, regulatory compliance and working collaboratively with research and clinical teams.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
Full Pharmacist registration with AHPRA with no restrictions to the scope of practice and a minimum of 3 years' experience as a registered pharmacist working in hospital pharmacy AND EITHER A minimum of 12 months experience working as a clinical pharmacist in in the nominated specialty area (or a similar specialty area) OR Relevant postgraduate qualifications and a minimum of 6 months experience in the nominated specialty area (or a similar specialty area).
Describe a significant clinical intervention you made while supporting a clinical trial in a high-risk, complex specialty area. In your response, outline the issue identified, your clinical assessment and reasoning, actions taken, stakeholders involved, and the impact on patient safety.
Provide a detailed example of a complex clinical trial set-up you were involved in. Outline the challenges encountered, your approach in resolving them and the outcome achieved.
