We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Governance Officer to provide executive-level secretariat support to senior and strategic governance forums for one of our SA Health clients.
This is a key role responsible for supporting high-level decision-making processes, ensuring governance activities are delivered with accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-level, confidential secretariat support to senior and strategic meetings
Coordinate end-to-end governance processes including agendas, papers, minutes, and action tracking
Plan and maintain schedules for governance meetings and related activities
Prepare high-quality correspondence, reports, and briefing materials with strong attention to political sensitivity and risk
Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, executives, and external organisations
Support project coordination activities and contribute to cross-functional initiatives
Develop, implement, and maintain governance processes, procedures, and information systems
Ensure timely dissemination of governance reporting and documentation
About You:
You hold a Police Clearance valid within 6 months
Proven experience providing executive officer or secretariat support at a senior level
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across government and external organisations
Excellent written communication skills,
with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and sensitive documentation
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and changing deadlines
Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused, with the ability to contribute recent ideas
Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Desirable:
Exposure to risk management, policy development, and compliance frameworks
