Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
About the Role
We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join the Australia logistics function within Deployment Operations. This is not a traditional specialist role - you will build the systems, automation, and analytical infrastructure that enables a lean logistics team to operate at the scale and speed Anduril demands. Working alongside the Senior Logistics Manager and Senior Logistics Coordinator, you will own the logistics technology and data layer: designing dashboards and KPI frameworks, building Python-based automation to eliminate manual work, configuring and optimising ERP and TMS platforms, and developing the processes and tooling that make the entire function more effective. You will also provide operational coverage for the Senior Coordinator during leave, travel, or surge periods - stepping into day-to-day freight coordination and handling real-time requests as needed. This is a high-impact role for someone who thinks in systems and solves problems with data. You will have significant autonomy to design how logistics operates in Australia, with direct visibility into the function's strategic direction and a clear path to grow your impact over time.
What You'll Do
Systems & Technology
Own the logistics systems landscape - ERP/TMS configuration, integration design, and ongoing optimisation
Evaluate, implement, and maintain logistics technology solutions that improve operational efficiency
Manage system data quality, master data, and integration points across logistics platforms
Provide system support and training to the logistics team and cross-functional users
Contribute to technology roadmap decisions alongside the Senior Logistics Manager
Automation & Tooling
Build Python-based automation for reporting,
data pipelines, and repetitive operational workflows
Develop and maintain operational tools that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
Create automated alerts, exception reports, and escalation triggers for freight operations
Design reusable templates and toolkits that standardise how the team works
Analytics & Reporting
Design and maintain logistics dashboards and KPI frameworks (Power BI or similar)
Track and report on cost per shipment, on-time delivery, transit time, carrier reliability, and claims rate
Analyse freight spend data to identify cost drivers, savings opportunities, and efficiency improvements
Deliver weekly operational and monthly executive reporting cadences
Support freight accruals, invoice reconciliation, and financial reporting processes
Contribute to carrier benchmarking, rate analysis, and RFP processes with data and insights
Process Design & Continuous Improvement
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, logistics playbooks, and process documentation
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations, reduce cost, and enhance service quality
Conduct root-cause analysis of operational exceptions, system failures, and process breakdowns
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven methods
Operational Coverage & Support
Provide operational coverage for the Senior Logistics Coordinator during leave, travel, or surge periods
Step into day-to-day freight coordination across all modes (road, air, ocean, parcel) when required
Handle real-time and ad-hoc operational requests - carrier escalations, urgent shipment coordination, stakeholder queries
Support compliance coordination with Anduril's Compliance function on import/export matters during coverage periods
Maintain continuity of freight documentation, carrier communication, and shipment tracking during all coverage periods
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field
4+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations with demonstrated systems and analytics capability
Strong proficiency in Python for automation, data analysis, and operational tooling
Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Experience with ERP systems - implementation, configuration, or operational use (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into operational decisions and process improvements
Demonstrated ability to design and implement business processes and standard operating procedures
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to work autonomously in a lean, fast-paced, high-growth environment
Comfortable operating across both systems/analytics work and hands‐on operational execution when needed
Must be an Australian citizen and eligible for Australian Government security clearance (NV1/NV2)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in logistics, freight, or transportation operations (international freight exposure highly valued)
Familiarity with TMS platforms and freight management systems
Experience in defence, aerospace, or high-technology environments
Familiarity with import/export processes, customs requirements, or trade compliance (AQIS, ABF, ITAR)
Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain, Project Management, or MBA
Experience building operational tooling in enterprise retail, manufacturing, or defence supply chains
