About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people and their carers. Our services range from health promotion, prevention and early detection through to assessment, treatment and continuing care. Our staff work in partnership with schools, GPs, hospitals, non-government agencies and other organisations to provide care across our centres, in people's homes, other community venues as well as virtual care (telehealth) .

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child and Family Health Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children aged 0 to 5 years and their families.
This rewarding role provides the opportunity to deliver comprehensive child and family health services, including health and developmental assessments, health promotion activities, early identification and intervention, education,



referral and care coordination. You will build robust relationships with families, providing guidance, support and advocacy while contributing to the ongoing health and wellbeing of your local community.

Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in provision of care to children aged 0-5 years and their families/carers as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or 12 months full time equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to career development.
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Current driver's licence and willingness to use for work purposes. This may include driving long distances across the LHD.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
