Warehouse Supervisor

POSITION DESCRIPTION
n
Position purpose
n
The purpose of this role is to supervise, plan and coordinate storage and product operations for a wholesale warehouse. You will be responsible for vital components of the supply chain process, manage others, processes and systems in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately.
n
Main tasks
n
Core objectives include:
n
n
Logistics of inventory
n
Book delivery transportation
n
Generate sales orders
n
Order bookings
n
Input bookings into appropriate software (e.g., ERP software)
n
Stock management
n
Planning of operations
n
Liaise with customer, sales and account team
n
forklift operation for inwards and outwards truck
n
oversee OH&S; and regulations
n
maintain warehouse in clean, tidy and efficient condition
n
n

Experience

5 years of experience in Timber Yard
n
Knowledge in ERP Software
n
Knowledge and experience with Barcode Operations
n

Licenses
n
Current Forklift License
n
Skills & competencies
n
n
Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
n
Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
n
Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
n
Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an effective and timely manner.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential

Current Driver's license

Timber and building industry knowledge preferable
