The position is being vacated by a teacher who is going on Parental leave at the beginning of Term 4.

The successful applicant be committed to:
Teaching and learning within a Catholic Parish faith community and guiding students in their faith and Sacramental journey
Be familiar with the MACS Vision for Instruction and show elements of this approach in their daily teaching
Plan a Learning and Teaching program that meets the needs of students so as to actively engage them in their learning
Working collaboratively with other members of the Middle School team and then drive Maths & English learning and teaching at SFX School.
Explicit teaching in Mathematics and English, extending students at their point of need and enabling them to reason and problem solve with fluency and confidence
As a classroom teacher have a passion for Literacy improvement, demonstrating highly level knowledge and skills in reading / writing cycle which is responsive to student needs and improved student outcomes




Planning Inquiry Learning that allows students to better understand and contribute to society and the world in which they live
Classroom teachers at SFX benefit from having preparation time in excess of CEMEA **** requirements due to the fact that we have seven specialist classes each week pro rata for part time staff, an L.S.O is assigned to your class to support you, and there are Intervention classes in English and Maths at each level.

Accreditation to teach Religious Education in the Catholic School (would be a real advantage)
