Position title: Finance Officer (VPSG2.2) Financial Services, North West Metro Region, Victoria Police

About the role: The North West Metro Region Finance Team is currently seeking to appoint a Finance Officer to join their busy team. Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.
Duties
Undertake end-to-end purchasing and procurement activities and provide support to internal stakeholders.
Process invoice payments.
Coordinate & book travel and accommodation arrangements.
Process personal expense claims.
Assist with auditing and asset administration activities.
Generate, interpret, and undertake basic analysis of financial reports.
Liaise effectively with internal and external clients.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as directed.
Success Criteria
Experience in finance, administration, or a related field.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to generate and interpret financial reports.
Valuable computer skills, particularly in Oracle, Excel, data entry, and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Requirements and relevant information
One (1) VPSG2.2 full time on-going position available.
The position is located at the Victoria Police Centre,
311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
While this position will have a nominated usual place of work, the position will be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or Visa.
The successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
Successful candidates will be required to possess a current Victorian Driver Licence and hold or qualify for an appropriate Victoria Police driving authority within three (3) months.
