About the role
PHI Aviation is seeking a dedicated Helicopter AW189 Captain tojoin our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe andefficient operation of the aircraft and ensuring flights are conducted incompliance with company policies and aviation regulations.
This position will be on a touring roster flying from any majorcapital in Australia.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Safety and Command
:
Ensure the safety of aircraft operations and all persons onboard.
Maintain final authority over the aircraft during command,ensuring safe conduct of the flight.
Regulatory Compliance
:
Observe all Regulatory and Client rules and regulations, andthe relevant RFM.
Follow Company directives and procedures during flightplanning, pre-flight inspection, in-flight operations, and post-flightreporting.
Flight Planning and Communication
:
Complete flight planning and establish/maintain communicationswith the responsible authority, as necessary.
Flight Operations
:
Complete flights as scheduled in a safe and timely manner.
Make decisions on flight cancellations, delays, or amendments,reporting such circumstances to the Senior Base Pilot or Base & ContractManager.
Certification and Training
:
Ensure all licenses, ratings, medical certificates, andproficiency requirements are current before undertaking any Air Transportflight activity.
Provide timely advice to the Training Department, Senior BasePilot and Base & Contract Manager regarding the status of licenses,ratings, visa, medical certificates, or proficiency checks.
Ensure training or testing required to maintain certificationsis assigned in a timely manner.
Crew Development
:
Provide opportunities for Co-Pilots to increase their skill andknowledge in standard operating procedures, when appropriately approved by theTraining Department.
Administrative Duties
:
Undertake non-flying tasks such as paperwork, helicopterhusbandry, and facility housekeeping as assigned by the Senior Base Pilot, Base& Contract Manager, or higher management.
To be considered for this role, you will need a minimum of:
ATPL(H)
Command Instrument Rating
CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
500 hours offshore command
4 years offshore experience, or two years offshore experience withone full year in Broome (all seasons)
**** hrs rotary multi-engine multi-crew, or **** hrs rotary multi-enginemulti-crew if **** hrs rotary offshore PIC
**** hrs rotary multi-engine Pilot-in-Command Under Supervision(PICUS), or 500 hrs rotary multi-engine PICUS if **** hrs rotary offshore PIC.
100 hrs of rotary night flight as pilot-in-command or asco-pilot, with a minimum of 25 hours of rotary night offshore time
