About the role
n
Join dnata catering & retail Australia as our newest Group Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll oversee financial reporting, month-end, compliance, audit and taxation, while providing commercial insights and driving continuous improvement.
n
As a trusted 2IC, you will also support the Financial Controller in mentoring and developing the Finance team and building technical capability. Responsibilities include:

Lead the end-to-end month-end close and preparation of monthly management accounts
n
Deliver financial reporting, variance analysis and insights to senior stakeholders
n
Maintain balance sheet integrity and oversee reconciliations and journals
n
Manage statutory compliance, taxation and audit requirements
n
Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning
n
Partner with operational stakeholders to improve financial performance and cost control
n
Mentor and develop Finance team members, building capability and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
n
Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, reporting and controls
n
n
About you
n




You are an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will bring:
n
n
CA, CPA or equivalent qualification
n
Significant experience in a complex, high-volume or multi-site environment
n
Strong technical accounting capability and a solid understanding of IFRS
n
Proven experience across month-end, financial reporting, audit and statutory compliance
n
Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and business planning
n
Strong leadership and stakeholder skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes
n
Advanced Excel and financial systems capability
n
A continuous improvement mindset, with a robust eye for detail and a practical approach to solving problems
n
