About the role
Start your career in Nuclear Medicine with Barwon Health's **** Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Embedded Student Program.
This unique 3.5-year scholarship and training program, delivered in partnership with RMIT University, provides the opportunity to study for a Bachelor of Medical Radiation (Nuclear Medicine – Industry Practice) while gaining hands‐on clinical experience at Barwon Health.
As an embedded student, you will study online through RMIT for three days per week in a virtual classroom environment, while spending two days per week undertaking clinical training at Barwon Health. This integrated approach allows you to apply your learning in a supportive clinical workplace while developing the knowledge, skills and experience required to become a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
As part of the program, you will receive a scholarship of up to $15,000 per year from Barwon Health to support you throughout your studies.
This program is specifically designed for students from Geelong and surrounding areas who are committed to building their career in Nuclear Medicine and meet the entry requirements for RMIT's Embedded Student Model.

Who can apply:
To join the program, you must:
Live in the Geelong region
Be a domestic student
Year 12 recent graduates must have completed Maths and one other Science subject to meet RMIT entry requirements to the Degree
Mature students are invited to apply but will be vetted by RMIT for entry suitability
Show proof of vaccination status to meet Barwon Health's guidelines around protecting patients, staff and community against vaccine preventable diseases
