LAB3 is one of the largest Azure engineering practices in the Australasia region with a focus on Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Modern Apps & Integration, Security, and Network services.
n
We are on the hunt for a Principal Technologist based in Sydney to be a part of our pre-sales/ client engagement team, working closely with our clients to architect solutions that best fulfil their requirements.
n
Responsibilities and Duties:
n
n
Lead the consultation with our clients to understand strategic business needs and design cloud infrastructure solutions to effectively meet those needs.
n
Own the technical relationship with strategic customers, identifying and engaging with business and technical stakeholders at all levels to understand their strategy, motivators, business drivers, challenges and requirements.
n
Develop, communicate, and present solution options to senior management and enterprise stakeholders, including C-Suite & Directors.
n
Lead the formulation of the customer technical strategies and roadmaps, demonstrating client value over time through the assembly and integration of LAB3 products and services.
n
Ensure customer technical strategy and roadmap remains current, well socialised and communicated. Work with LAB3 partners to drive strategic and technical alignment.
n
Provide technical leadership to the LAB3 sales and solutions teams, ensuring our solutions are well architected, of high quality and effective in meeting business needs.
n
Actively participate in the pre-sales process, leading technical discussions, product demonstrations and proof of concepts; involve Lab3 SMEs where required.
n




Participate in and lead technical governance forums both internally and with LAB3's customers.
n
Act as a technical escalation point during major and critical incidents, helping to drive service restoration, identify root cause, and identify preventive measures.
n

The right candidate:
n
n
Will have senior level consulting & enterprise architecture experience, including that in an Azure infrastructure environment.
n
Proven track record of understanding large, complex environments and navigating senior stake holders, both technical and non-technical.
n
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and robust technical solutions.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to C-suite executives.
n
Display a width and depth of technical skills to enable effectiveness in both high- and low-level architecting and solutioning
n
n
Broad knowledge of:
n
n
Enterprise IT and common Architectural Patterns
n
On-Prem and private cloud architectures and familiarity with migration and modernisation approaches.
n
Microsoft Well Architected Framework
n
M365 and associated services
n
Common Application Architectures, particularly those that are cloud native.
n
Azure Data and Cognitive Services
n




Containerisation and Orchestration tooling and Microservices Architecture.
n
Cloud Security Concepts, Posture Management (CSPM) and Azure Security Services and Baselines
n
n
Deep knowledge of:
n
Microsoft Azure and Associated Services
n
n
Microsoft Azure and Associated Services
n
Microsoft's CAF and Key Design Areas
n
DevOps principles, concepts and tooling
n
Hands on experience configuring GitHub Azure DevOps repositories, policies and pipelines
n
Experience with IaC tooling, hands‐on experience with Terraform or similar.
n
Familiarity and knowledge of Service Management (ITIL) processes
n
Certifications related to Microsoft & Azure, DevOps, IaC and architecture
n
