We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and professional individual to join the Environmental Health team to undertake scheduled inspections of licenced and registered premises while providing support, guidance and coaching to team members.

In this role, you will:
Deliver efficient and effective environmental and public health services relating to food premises, legionella control, commercial and public swimming pools, skin penetration businesses and onsite sewage management systems
Investigate and manage complaints and health-related incidents, including food-borne illness outbreaks, and undertake regulatory action in accordance with relevant legislation
Assess development applications and provide specialist environmental health advice
Provide expert advice to the community, Council and other stakeholders on environmental health matters, legislative requirements and industry best practice
Support, mentor and coach team members to foster a high-performing and collaborative team environment
About you:
You will be a knowledgeable and customer-focused environmental health professional with strong regulatory experience and a commitment to protecting public health.
You will also bring:
A Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health), or equivalent qualifications eligible for membership of Environmental Health Australia
Significant experience as an Environmental Health Officer or in a similar role
Strong knowledge and experience interpreting and applying Local Government, Public Health and Environmental Health legislation




Demonstrated ability to investigate issues and prepare clear, accurate technical reports and recommendations
Excellent communication, negotiation, customer service and conflict resolution skills
Experience supervising, mentoring and developing staff
Current NSW Class C Driver Licence

Commencing salary range from $105,498 - $111,955 per annum (based on qualifications and experience) with the chance for annual step increases
