8 Days on/6 Days off, 5 Days on/2 Days off,2 Weeks on/1 Week off

Located in South West Australia

Being a Chef in the FIFO industry is different to the normal hospitality lane. It still requires a passion for creating outstanding food, but the emphasis is on ensuring meals are nutritionally balanced to support the energy requirements of demanding roles, such as mining. Getting a start in the industry opens doors to develop greater skills in menu management, large scale food production and more.

What does a day in the life of a Chef at Cater Care look like?
n
n
Food preparation and presentation (breakfast, crib, dinner, dessert and functions)
n
Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, special requests)
n
Ensure compliance with our Food Safety Program
n
Assist with stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking
n
Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils
n
Adherence to legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
n
Fast, effective service provided with a smile
n
Assisting the broader team as required
n
Demonstrate a strong safety culture aligned with the Cater Care Safety Commitments
n
n

Requirements:

Certificate III Commercial Cookery
n
Police clearance (within 6 months)
n
Chefexperience
