MacKillop Family Services is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team. This role plays an important part in supporting the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of payroll services across the organisation.
Working within the Payroll team, you will provide high quality administrative support, review payroll documentation, respond to enquiries, maintain employee records, and assist with payroll processing activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with systems, managing competing priorities, and contributing to a positive employee experience through exceptional payroll administration.

In this role, you'll:
Review payroll related documentation, including leave forms, medical certificates, and statutory declarations, to ensure accuracy and compliance
Accurately enter, maintain, and update employee payroll information
Assist with payroll processing activities in line with payroll schedules and deadlines
Respond to payroll enquiries from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner
Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation
Assist in identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies
Maintain payroll files, records, and supporting documentation
Assist with payroll correspondence and document preparation
Support audit activities and payroll related information requests
This is a full-time, fixed term (ending November ****) position, based within our Payroll Team, reporting to the Payroll Manager.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated administration experience, preferably within a Payroll, Human Resources, or Finance environment
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
Proven ability to prioritise competing tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and stakeholder management capabilities
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
The ability to work independently while also contributing positively within a team environment
You must have:
A valid Driver's Licence
A valid Working with Children Check
A satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid by MacKillop)
