Our dedicated Thomas Furlong cancer ward, Day Cancer Centre and GenesisCare radiation oncology facility, bring together clinicians from a wide range of areas for cancer treatment, including oncology, haematology and palliative care on site.About the roleWe are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurses with oncology experience to join our dedicated Cancer Day Centre team.
As a valued member of our friendly and supportive team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care in a safe, effective and professional manner.Our 20-bed Cancer Centre specialises in a comprehensive range of oncology and medical treatments operating Monday through to Saturday, 8.30 to 5pm.

Our integrated cancer services include:Cancer diagnosticsCancer-related surgeryChemotherapy treatmentTargeted therapies and immunotherapiesRadiation oncologyAllied health support, including social work, dietetics, case management and pharmacyPain and symptom managementPastoral careSpecialist nursing support in breast care, oncology and palliative careMedical infusions including Crohns disease and Multiple clerosisOur experienced nursing team works closely with medical specialists and the wider multidisciplinary team to support patients throughout treatment and recovery.
The service is further strengthened by specialist clinicians in breast care, prostate care, bowel care, stomal therapy and wound management,



ensuring patients receive coordinated, holistic care tailored to their individual needs.If you are an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse with chemotherapy administration experience and a commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care, we encourage you to apply and join our dedicated cancer services team.Key responsibilities The Enrolled Nurse PositionFunction within legal and registration constraints in relation to enrolled nursing practice.Maintain and develop clinical skills in order to deliver patient care appropriate to level of competence.Deliver a high standard of patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost effectively.Adhere to and support hospital policies, procedures and standards.Act as the patient's advocate and protect the rights of individuals.Provide patient education and participate in discharge planning, where applicable or as required.Participate in quality improvement activities.Demonstrate a courteous manner to internal and external customers.The Registered Nurse PositionAssess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate.Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff.Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.Your skills and experience The successful applicant will hold registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
You will have the ability to work collaboratively and effectively within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
