About the Company:Our client is a niche engineering consultancy providing end-to-end grid connection solutions.
They specialise in HV asset testing, commissioning, and project delivery for renewable energy projects, helping clients reduce grid connection complexities and risks.
Role Overview:We are seeking Testing & Commissioning Engineers to work on greenfield and brownfield HV substations as well as utility-scale solar and renewable projects.
The role reports to the Commissioning Manager and involves commissioning, GPS compliance, AEMO approvals, and collaboration with project development and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform commissioning and testing of HV substations and renewable assetsDevelop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and ITPs/ITRsConduct energisation and advanced protection testing (line distance, transformer differential,



CB management)Support SCADA, control system, and signal testing for substation and solar farm assetsCollaborate with clients, TNSPs, AEMO, and internal teams
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Advanced Diploma in Power SystemsMinimum 3 years experience on Australian projects with full working rightsExperience in utility substations and/or solar farm testing and commissioningStrong understanding of power system fundamentals, protection, and control systemsKnowledge of network connection rules, AEMO guidelines, and relevant testing authoritiesExcellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
