Advisor - Expression of InterestClerk Grade: *****Salary Range: $116,981 - $129,492 + superEmployment Type: Full-Time, Up to 6 months, with possibility of extensionLocation: Haymarket with hybrid working arrangements.
This role is principally office-based, with four days per week onsite required.The Office of the Secretary is seeking an Advisor
to join the team.
This is a unique opportunity to work on matters that directly
support the Secretary.

high-quality advice and outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.About the RoleAs an Advisor, you will deliver high‐level executive and secretariat support
across a broad range of complex issues.
This role supports the efficient
operation of the Office of the Secretary and overseeing the coordination of
executive forums, contributing to effective governance and the overall
performance of the Department, as well as supporting the Secretary with
strategic advice.This role working closely with
executives, business units and central agencies, you will provide strategic
support, analysis and coordination across a range of sensitive and high-profile
matters.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Support the operation of key governance bodies including the
Executive Leadership Team and the Independent Agency Forum.Coordinate, review and prepare advice for
the DCS Executive Leadership Team.Conduct research, analyse information and prepare advice to
support informed decision-making.Support the delivery of key initiatives, projects and strategic
priorities across the Department.Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help
strengthen organisational governance, including monitoring and oversight.Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and
external stakeholders.About YouWe're looking for a motivated and resilient




professional who can confidently navigate a complex and dynamic environment.To be successful in this role, you will
demonstrate:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to translate complex information into clear, concise and
actionable advice.Experience preparing high-quality briefings, reports,
submissions or policy documents for senior stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability
to assess issues, identify risks and recommend practical solutions.Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship management
skills across a diverse range of audiences.Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the
ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.Experience working within Cabinet, Cabinet Committee,
Ministerial or Parliamentary environments will be highly regarded.A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering
outstanding customer-focused outcomes.Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to work with
sensitive and confidential information.Demonstrated ability to manage
sensitive issues with discretion, prioritising matters effectively for the
Secretary.Essential RequirementsRelevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent professional
