You become a Heartist.Job DescriptionWe on the lookout for two Finance Officers to join our team here at Darwin Airport Resorts.
These positions will work across the Payroll and Accounts Receivable finance functions.
Payroll duties will involve:Manage end to end weekly payroll processingCollaborating with department heads to support accurate and timely payrollEnsuring compliance across payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG and Fair Work requirementsAssisting team members with payroll enquiriesEnsure payroll knowledge is kept up to date with changing legislationEnsure accuracy of HRIS data and payroll integrityGenerate reports for distribution to managers and attend weekly payroll meetingsDevelop a thorough understanding of the HIGA Up-to-date Award and all entitlements, allowances and NES.
Accounts Receivable duties will involve:Maintain up-to-date and balanced cash reconciliation spreadsheets daily,



ensuring the financial health of the business is accurately reflectedProcess credit applicationsVerify the accuracy and validity of all direct billing room rates, playing a critical role in ensuring client satisfaction and financial precisionConduct detailed month-end reconciliations with meticulous attention to detail, meeting deadlines and supporting the accuracy of financial reporting.Resolve payment and invoice-related queries promptly and professionally, ensuring seamless support to clients and maintaining high standards of service.Managing guest and city ledgers, including monitoring and following up overdue accounts.Processing billing, banking transactions, and Accounts Receivable receipts accurately and in a timely manner.Completing account reconciliations and managing billing disputes.Investigating and resolving account discrepancies in collaboration with relevant departments and stakeholders.QualificationsPrevious financial or front office hotel experience is desiredBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related fieldPrevious payroll experienceStrong technical skills and high level of digital literacyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with Modern Award interpretation (payroll function)Understanding of tax, superannuation, long service leave and national employment standards (payroll) Additional InformationPlease outline in your cover letter which finance focus you are applying for - payroll or accounts receivable and demonstrate your experience in your chosen area.
