This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced chef with a strong background in high-volume, refined à la carte dining and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.Working alongside our talented culinary team, you will contribute to the creation of beautifully presented dishes that reflect the elegance and sophistication synonymous with Sofitel.
With a strong focus on quality, precision and consistency, you will play an important role in delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests while upholding the highest standards of food safety,
hygiene and kitchen excellence.Manage and coordinate activities within your assigned kitchen sectionEnsure efficient workflow and seamless coordination with other kitchen areasMaintain impeccable hygiene and kitchen standards in line with HACCP requirementsPrepare and cook dishes according to our menu specifications and quality standardsTrain and mentor junior kitchen staff, including apprentices and commis chefsAssist in menu development and implementation of new food conceptsParticipate in live cooking demonstrations and interact with customers when requiredCollaborate with the sous chef and head chef to maintain kitchen efficiencyMonitor and control food waste, stock levels, and kitchen resourcesAdapt quickly to changing priorities during busy service periods.QualificationsCompleted culinary training or apprenticeshipMinimum of 2 years of experience in a similar roleProven track record of excellence in food preparation and presentationStrong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standardsPassion for international cuisine and new food conceptsExperience in live cooking and customer interactionExcellent organisational and time management skillsAbility to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong leadership and communication skillsCreativity and willingness to contribute to menu developmentFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.Additional InformationBring passion and dedication to excellence, and we will recognise your contribution with a variety of benefits, rewards and development opportunities.
