Overview / Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for an Instrumentation / Electrical Designer with 2+ years of Instrumentation / Electrical Design experience to join our team in Brisbane on a permanent basis.Responsibilities:To deliver and check best practice Instrumentation, Control and Electrical design and documentation in alignment with the Company organisational and Client requirementsParticipate in design reviewsEnsure that design activities are performed within allocated project budgets and time constraints to ensure tasks are delivered on time and in a cost-effective manner.Maintain and apply a working knowledge of design standards and codesEnsure that all design deliverables have been prepared, checked and approved in accordance with the Company Quality Assurance system and drafting proceduresWork in conjunction with other Discipline Designers, Engineers and supervisors to support engineering project deliveryReadily takes ownership of discipline design commitments and requirements on a project
Qualifications
2+ yrs.
experience in Instrumentation / Electrical Design industrial engineering or approved equivalentStrong knowledge in applying relevant Instrumentation / Electrical Design industry design practices and key national and international standards and codesGood written, verbal and presentation skills, particularly the ability to communicate discipline requirements to other members of the project teamAbility to deliver best practice design and drafting, with emphasis on cost-effective designGood attention to detailExpertise in Auto CAD or MicroStation is mandatoryExperience in 3D modelling (PDMS), SPI advantageous Knowledge of and exposure to key Clients in onshore Oil and Gas / CSG industryKnowledge of and site experience with field Electrical / instrumentation equipment,



including Hazardous Area installations.Experience of working with Operations and Commissioning is desirableHigh degree of competency in Microsoft Office Suite of programsRelevant approved Certificate from a State Education Department or Technical Education Department or equivalentBehavioural Qualities Responsibilities:Aspire to excellence, self-starter and motivated individualGood team playerAbility to perform under minimal supervisionAbility to stay in touch with the latest developments in relevant technologies HSSEQ Responsibilities:Read, understand and obey the HSSEQ policies arrangements/procedures and rules as issuedAlways work in accordance with method statements and risk assessments as providedTake care of your own health and safety whilst at work, and ensure your activities do not adversely affect the health and safety of othersReport to immediate supervisor all incidents, which have or could result in personal injury or environmental damageCandidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
