Where you'll be working
Join the Nutrition and Dietetics team at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals (BMDH), where you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse and evolving healthcare environment.
Working closely with Allied Health and clinical leaders, you will help shape high-quality services that deliver safe, compassionate and patient-centred care.
Lead a dedicated Nutrition and Dietetics service across two hospital campuses.
Work collaboratively with Allied Health and multidisciplinary clinical leaders across BMDH and WSLHD.
Foster a culture of kindness, collaboration, professional development, research and continuous improvement.
Contribute to a service committed to clinical excellence, patient safety and positive outcomes.

What you'll be doing
As the Nutrition and Dietetics Head of Department, you will provide professional, clinical and operational leadership to ensure the service delivers high-quality care and meets NSW Ministry of Health and WSLHD standards.
Lead and manage the people, resources,



budget and performance of Nutrition and Dietetics services across BMDH.
Provide professional leadership, clinical supervision and mentorship while supporting high standards of practice.
Drive service development, quality improvement, research, accreditation and clinical governance.
Monitor service performance, KPIs and activity indicators while identifying opportunities to improve service delivery.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide effective leadership across multidisciplinary teams and services.
Qualification: Post graduate qualifications or bachelor's degree giving eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia
Selection Criteria
Post graduate qualifications or Bachelor Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics that allows eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia.
Substantial experience in clinical dietetics including demonstrated skills in clinical practice.
Demonstrated ability in strategic clinical planning and the provision of a patient focused, comprehensive, high quality and cost effective clinical service
Demonstrated leadership skills and previous management experience in a health care setting, including staff management experience




Demonstrated ability to implement and improve patient safety, patient flow, continuum of care, and waiting times for treatment
Demonstrated commitment to and experience in teaching, quality improvement, research and career development.
Demonstrated understanding of computer based software such as CBORD, and other computer applications necessary for the provision of nutrition services.
