About this opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Advisor, People Services, this role supports the Advisory team within a collaborative People Services function. As a first point of contact for people-related enquiries across the VEC, you'll provide HR administration and support across employee lifecycle processes, HR systems, reporting and other people-related services.

About the team
This role sits within the Advisory stream of the People Services function, which forms part of the VEC's People Group. The People Services team supports employees and people leaders across the VEC, delivering HR services and processes across the employee lifecycle and contributing to key People initiatives and projects.
A day in the life of an Officer, People Services
No two days are the same in the People Services team. You'll provide first contact, timely, customer-focused support to employees and people leaders across a broad range of HR enquiries, systems and processes, while working closely with the People Services team.
Whether you're coordinating onboarding for a new starter, preparing employment documentation, updating HR systems or contributing to a People initiative, you'll gain hands-on experience across the employee lifecycle and play an important role in delivering a great employee experience.
About you
You're an organised, proactive, and customer-focused HR professional who is keen to build your experience across a broad range of People Services activities. You'll bring:
Strong administration and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy,



with experience working in a HR team or similar environment
Confidence working with systems and data, and an ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach to working with employees and people leaders
An adaptable and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively as part of a team.
