The Role:Central Premix Concrete is looking for an experienced Plant Manager to take ownership of our Port Melbourne concrete plant.This is an excellent prospect for an experienced Batcher, Plant Manager or Concrete Allocator who enjoys autonomy, variety and being at the centre of the operation.
As the dedicated Plant Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day running of the site, coordinating concrete production, scheduling deliveries, managing drivers and ensuring every load is delivered safely, efficiently and on time.If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in delivering exceptional service, we'd love to hear from you.What you'll be doingTake ownership of the day-to-day operation of the Port Melbourne concrete plantBatch and dispatch concrete using our Command batching systemSchedule and allocate drivers to customer deliveriesManage daily customer orders, enquiries and delivery changes via phone and emailMonitor raw material stock levels and coordinate replenishmentOperate the front-end loader as required (training provided if needed)Complete daily plant checks and oversee general housekeepingConduct toolbox talks and support a strong safety cultureEnsure compliance with environmental, Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management requirementsSupport operations at our nearby South Wharf plant during quieter periodsHours: Monday - Friday (rostered shifts are between the hours of 5am - 5pm, with flexibility needed for busy periods) and you may be required to participate in Saturdays as requiredCommute with ease - we'll provide an e-tag to cover tolls when travelling to and from work!
About you:We're looking for someone who can confidently work independently and make sound operational decisions.
You'll ideally bring:Previous experience as a Concrete Batcher, Plant Manager,
