Employment Type: Full Time; 35 hours per week
Duration: Fixed Term Until 31 December **** (Leave Replacement)
Remuneration: Academic Level A/B ($118K - $142K) based on experience + 17% super+ annual leave loading

Position Summary
The Associate Lecturer / Lecturer (Education Focussed) contributes to educational excellence in Pharmacology through the delivery of high-quality, engaging teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
This is a hands-on teaching role, and the successful candidate will bring practical experience in pharmacology teaching, alongside a strong commitment to student learning and educational excellence.
At Level A (Associate Lecturer), the role delivers classes, assesses student learning and supports the development of learning activities, resources and assessments with guidance from senior academics.
The position also supports student progression and contributes to course administration, academic quality assurance and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
At Level B (Lecturer), the role operates with greater independence in the design and delivery of teaching, assessment and learning activities.
The position manages course administration as Course Authority, contributes to the development of innovative teaching approaches and plays an active role in strengthening teaching quality and the student learning experience across the School.
A PhD in a Pharmacology and/or related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.




Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
Demonstrated experience in and passion for teaching and learning design, development and/or delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
Knowledge of educational technologies and online delivery methods.
A strong commitment to work-integrated learning (desirable).
Experience engaging students and fostering independent learning through meaningful assessment and helpful feedback.
Evidence of and/or preparedness to undertake professional development of teaching practice.
At Level B (in addition to the above):
Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline-based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales)
Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable)
