Job Description
Why You'll Love This Role
This is a practical, field-based role where you'll help maintain the City's roads, drainage and civil infrastructure. As a Flocon Operator/Labourer, you'll operate specialist equipment, support civil maintenance works and work closely with a team that values safety, reliability and quality service for the community.
What You'll Be Doing
Operate Flocon trucks and associated plant safely and effectively
Transport, place and support the delivery of asphalt, gravel and other civil materials
Assist with road, drainage and general civil construction and maintenance activities
Carry out manual labouring duties including excavation, reinstatement and site clean-up
Inspect and maintain equipment, tools and work areas to support safe operations
Follow traffic management, workplace safety and environmental procedures
Identify and report hazards, defects, maintenance needs and service issues
Work collaboratively with the team to deliver timely,



high-quality outcomes for the community
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
You'll be a dependable, safety-focused team member who enjoys outdoor work, operating equipment and contributing to well-maintained public infrastructure. You'll ideally bring:
Experience operating Flocon trucks, asphalt equipment or similar mobile plant
Current HR licence, with HC licence highly regarded
Construction Induction White Card
Experience in civil construction, road maintenance or drainage maintenance
Ability to carry out physically active labouring duties in an outdoor setting
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach
Reliability, attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
