Orient House is a Sydney-based retailer of unique furniture, antiques, homewares and decorative objects sourced from around the world. We are looking for a reliable, organised and detail-focused Shopify & E-commerce Coordinator to manage the day-to-day administration of our online store.

This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping an e-commerce website accurate, well maintained and up to date. You will work closely with our directors and in-house team to ensure new stock is photographed, uploaded and available to customers online.

Minimum 3+ years of e-commerce experience is required.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

This is an onsite role. The successful applicant is required to work from our showroom during their agreed rostered hours.

The focus of the role:
Your primary responsibility is the smooth operation and day-to-day upkeep of the Orient House Shopify website.

We have dedicated team members responsible for styling, visual merchandising and social media. You will work alongside them to ensure product information and supplied content are accurately reflected on the website, but you will not be responsible for social-media management, content strategy or visual merchandising.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the Orient House Shopify website.

- Create and update product listings, including titles, descriptions, dimensions, pricing, tags, variants, shipping information and availability.

- Ensure online product information, pricing and availability accurately reflect showroom and warehouse stock.

- Maintain accurate shipping settings in Shopify.

- Create and maintain collections, categories,



navigation and relevant product organisation within Shopify.

- Photograph newly arrived stock and shipments for website listings using an iPhone; prepare and upload explicit, consistent images.

- Keep relevant homepage, collection and product-page content current for new arrivals and promotions supplied by the team.

- Identify and resolve, or promptly report, website issues including incorrect product information, missing imagery, broken links and display problems.

- Assist showroom customers when required.

- Assist with packing and dispatching online orders during busy periods or when required.

- Work closely with the directors, showroom team, stylist and social-media team to ensure accurate online presentation of products and content.

To be successful in this position, you must have the following qualities:

- At least three years’ experience in e-commerce, Shopify.

- Demonstrated hands-on experience using Shopify, including product creation, product updates, collections, tags, variants and website content updates.

- Excellent attention to detail, particularly with product specifications, dimensions, pricing, stock availability and shipping information.

- Clear written English and the ability to write concise, accurate product descriptions.

- Confidence photographing products using a smartphone and preparing images for web upload.

- Positive computer and spreadsheet skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

- A friendly, professional manner and confidence assisting customers in a showroom environment.

- A practical approach and willingness to assist with online-order packing when required.

- A passion for home interiors.

Experience in furniture, interiors, antiques, homewares, lifestyle retail or wholesale environment will be highly regarded.
