- Provide environmental and sustainability advice across DTP regional projects
- Support environmental investigations, planning, assessment and project delivery
- Ensure projects comply with State and Federal legislation and achieve positive environmental outcomes
- Review environmental data and manage biodiversity assessments and environmental requirements
- Support projects during and after construction
- Promote sustainable practices and develop initiatives to minimise environmental harm
- Build effective relationships with internal teams, government agencies, contractors and the community
- Prepare consultant briefs and review environmental reports and documentation
- Coordinate project tasks, monitor progress and take corrective action to achieve agreed outcomes

Requirements

- Relevant tertiary qualification in an environmental discipline, or another relevant qualification and/or 3+ years’ environmental experience
- Current Australian driver’s licence (mandatory)
- Experience managing environmental requirements, including preparing consultant briefs and reviewing environmental reports and documentation
- Experience in road construction and/or vegetation assessment
- Experience following safety processes and protocols in fieldwork and working in semi isolated/remote areas
- Botany and Vegetation Quality Assessment Accreditation desirable
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position
