A small, high-performing advisory firm specialising in infrastructure and property is looking for an Analyst to join their close-knit team of six. They work on projects that benefit communities and the planet — from renewable energy zones to affordable housing — advising clients to get complex, multi-billion dollar projects across the line.

You'll be hands-on from day one: building financial models, advising clients, and helping shape projects worth billions of dollars.

What you'll actually do

- Multi-billion dollar Renewable Energy Zones (REZ): providing strategic, financial and commercial advisory to consortia bidding on major REZ projects
- Social and affordable housing: helping community housing providers secure funding and building the models to prove it stacks up
- Developing housing: bidding for housing projects on government land, market-based but with an affordable housing component
- Land-use feasibility: working with government stakeholders to assess the viability of innovative land-use models
- Major infrastructure bids: leading or supporting complex bid submissions for government infrastructure projects, including acting as lead Financial Advisor for Public Private Partnership (PPP) consortia
- Commercial advisory: helping clients understand the allocation of roles, responsibility and risk in project contracts, and negotiate better outcomes

Day to day, that means financial and commercial analysis, modelling, feasibility work, client presentations,

report writing and bid preparation — building things in Excel that help real projects get funded and built.

Who they're looking for

- Genuine enthusiasm for infrastructure and property development — you find this stuff interesting and have the initiative to get going
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking — you pick up complex ideas quickly and are comfortable in Excel
- Transparent and confident communication — you can hold your own in client meetings and produce reports and decks that are sharp and compelling
- Financial and mathematical acumen — you're good with numbers and genuinely enjoy working with them
- Self starter — you manage your time effectively, do focused deep work, and can help coordinate team and client activities

Experience and background

Most likely, you'll be coming from corporate finance, transaction services or valuations related to infrastructure, or from government infrastructure advisory. That experience typically comes from a Big 4 accounting and advisory firm or similar, or from an engineering consultancy.

- 1–4 years of professional experience (guide only). Definitely not less than 1 year post graduate experience.
- Proficiency in Excel (VBA an advantage)

They don't expect you to have done everything above. If you're excited by the work and bring strong fundamentals, they'll help you grow into the rest.
