The Chance

Reporting to the Senior PCI & Reliability Manager, the PCIElectricalEngineeris responsible forimproving the safety, reliability, and performance of the Rosehill Manufacturing Plant through the design, implementation, andoptimisationof electrical, automation, PLC, SCADA, and control systems.You will drivereliability andcontinuousimprovement initiatives thatoptimiseplant performance,minimisedowntime, and support safe, efficient operations.

This isagreatopportunityfor an Electrical Engineer with a passion for Automation & Control, hands-on PLC programming and SCADA experience, and a background in manufacturing to drive impactful projects and continuous improvement outcomes.

This role is Monday to Friday, start your day early at 6AM with an early finish of 2/2:30PM.

Whatyou’lldo

- Champion a strong safety-first culture and ensure all electrical, automation, and control system activitiescomply withWHS requirements, statutory regulations, and James Hardie standards.
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of electrical, automation, control, and communication systems to deliver safe, reliable,



and efficient manufacturing operations.
- Develop,maintain, andoptimisePLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial control systems, ensuring equipment performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Deliver capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives from concept through commissioning, driving operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Develop and execute testing, validation, and commissioning plans to ensure new and modified systems perform safely and meet operational requirements.
- Support and oversee control system upgrades, modifications, and troubleshooting activities, ensuringappropriate interlocks, protection systems, and safety functions are implemented and maintained.
- Design, support, andoptimiseindustrial communication networks, including Ethernet and fieldbus systems, to ensure reliable connectivity and data flow across plant operations.
- Monitor andanalysesystem performance,identifyopportunities for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance safety, reliability, throughput, and operational efficiency.
- Lead root cause investigations, reliability improvement initiatives, and condition monitoring programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Reliability, and Engineering teams to solve problems, deliver improvements, and build a culture of shared ownership for plant performance.

Whatyou’llbring

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, ora relateddiscipline.
- Minimum3+ years' experience in a similar Electrical, Automation, Controls, or Systems Engineering role within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Proven experience delivering automation, control system, and capital improvement projects from concept throughto commissioningand handover.
- Demonstrated experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000 is essential.




- Demonstrated experience with SCADA systems is essential, with Plant SCADA experience highly preferred
- Knowledge of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), motor control systems, and power distribution isadvantageous.
- Experience with Schneider Electric PLCs,EcoStruxureplatforms, or Schneider automation products isadvantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and engineering analysis tools.
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, WHS legislation, machine safety, electrical installations, and industrial automation systems.
- Strong commitment to Work Health & Safety (WHS), Quality Management, and safe system design.
- Advanced troubleshooting, fault-finding, and analytical problem-solving skills within industrial automation and manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with operators,trades, engineers, contractors, and senior leaders.
