Aboutthe role
Due to continued growth and increasing demandfor building compliance and regulatory services, we are seeking a BuildingSurveyor's Assistant to join our Building Services team. This is an excitingopportunity to play a key role in supporting statutory building functions whilecontributing to a team-oriented, customer-focused and professional workenvironment.
The primary objectives of the role are to provide technical advice and assistance to thecustomers and provide administrative assistance to the Building Services areato enable the team to achieve its legislative responsibilities whilst gainingexperience in the Building Surveying field.
Aboutyou
To be successful in this role,
you will bringstrong technical knowledge of the Building Act, Building Regulations, NationalConstruction Code and associated legislation and standards, together withexperience in building compliance, inspections and regulatory administration.You will have the ability to assess building applications, undertakeinspections and audits, prepare technical reports and correspondence, andprovide practical advice to a broad range of stakeholders, including builders,developers, consultants, residents and internal customers.
You are a proactive and customer-focusedprofessional with excellent communication, organisational and problem-solvingskills. You demonstrate sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability tomanage competing priorities while ensuring compliance with statutoryrequirements. You are also committed to continuous improvement and supportingthe development of less experienced team members through mentoring andleadership. Participation in an after-hours emergency and on-call roster may berequired as part of this role.

You may be required to undertake practical testing,work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacityassessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
