An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable qualified to join a well-established and successful subcontractor operating within the South Australian construction industry.

Working with many of Adelaide's leading Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders, this business has built a strong reputation for delivering quality work across a range of commercial construction projects.

This is a hands-on accounts role suited to someone who enjoys being organised, keeping on top of the detail and working as part of a friendly, down-to-earth team.

About the Role:

n

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, using Xero, and work closely with management, project teams, suppliers and clients.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
n
- Processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate coding
n
- Preparing and processing supplier payments
n
- Raising customer invoices
n
- Monitoring outstanding accounts and following up payments
n
- Bank and account reconciliations
n
- Maintaining accurate financial records within Xero
n
- Responding to supplier and client account enquiries
n




- Assisting with monthly reporting and account reconciliations
n
- Maintaining accurate records across construction projects
n
- General accounts and administration support as required
n

About You:

n

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and confident managing both AP and AR.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
n
- Strong Xero experience
n
- Experience within construction, subcontracting or a project-based environment highly regarded
n
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
n
- Confidence communicating with suppliers, clients and internal project teams
n
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your role
n
- A practical, positive and team-focused approach
n

Experience dealing with commercial builders, progress claims, retentions or construction-related accounts would be particularly advantageous.

n
