Youth Focus is a for-purpose organisation that creates brighter futures for young people in WA by offering a range of no-cost mental health services. Established in 1994, Youth Focus delivers innovative and accessible mental health services and programs across WA to help young people aged 12 to 25. A key component of this is our role as the lead agency for five headspace Centres including our dynamic headspace Geraldton team.

About the Role

Youth Focus is looking for an experienced and dynamic leader, who is passionate about youth mental health. Leading our diverse teams and programs across the Mid-West region, this position forms part of our Senior Leadership Team and is entrusted to lead our Geraldton and Meekatharra services. This includes:

- Youth Focus' Geraldton Youth Mental Health Hub, including Youth Enhanced Service (YES), headspace Geraldton, outreach services, and general Hub governance
- Youth Focus' Meekatharra services

The Regional Manager carries overarching responsibility for both the high-quality operational and clinical delivery of services within the Mid-West region.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensure sustainable, client focussed quality services are delivered to meet the needs of young people and communities
- Foster and nurture key strategic relationships with mental health services, youth services, and other local agencies
- Lead operations whilst maintaining accreditation, service standards and satisfaction levels
- Foster an engaging team culture, aligned with organisational values,



ensuring all team members feel supported in carrying out their duties and to develop team capability
- Oversee the management of the operations team budget and authorise budgeted expenditure in line with delegated authority
- Analyse and report on program data ensuring relevant funding and accreditation requirements are met
- With support from Human Resources, manage recruitment, development, employee relations and other people management requirements

About You (selection criteria)

To be considered for this position, applicants will have:

- Five years+ senior experience working within the mental health care or non-government sector
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading diverse teams in multiple locations
- Experience managing multiple funding contracts and required reporting requirements
- Experience building and leveraging diverse stakeholder relationships
- Significant clinical knowledge, skills and experience working with young people and families within the region
- Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal culture and issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy or equivalent and relevant registration with an appropriate professional body
- 'C' Class Driver's Licence, access to a reliable vehicle, with willingness to travel across the region when needed
