CGH is also a leading teaching hospital, affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and provides placements and clinical experience for students.

About the Program
n
Our Post Graduate Program offers a unique opportunity for Registered Nurses to specialise while gaining hands‐on experience in a cooperative and supportive clinical setting.
n
Specialty areas for 2027 include:

- Critical Care Nursing
n
- Dialysis
n
- Emergency Nursing
n
- Midwifery
n
- Operating Suites
n
- Medical / Surgical Nursing
n
- Palliative Care
n
n
Successful applicants will join our February 2027 intake and work 0.6–1.0 EFT on the ward while completing their postgraduate studies through Deakin University or Federation University (Midwifery stream only).

Duties
n
n
- Acquire hands‐on clinical experience on the ward, working an EFT of 0.6‐1.0, while completing post‐graduate studies through Deakin University or Federation University (for Midwifery students only).
n
n
To be eligible you need to:
n
n
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
n
- Minimum 12 months of clinical nursing experience
n
n
