Are you an experienced Early Childhood Area Manager who loves developing leaders, strengthening services and making a genuine impact?

At Queensland Childcare Services (QCCS), we're looking for an experienced and passionate Area Manager to join our leadership team and support a portfolio of services across North Brisbane.

n

This is an opportunity to step into an influential leadership role where you'll have the autonomy to make a difference, the support of an experienced team behind you, and the opportunity to help shape the continued success of our services.

Portfolio: Glass House Mountains | Morayfield | Chermside | Ashgrove

n

Full Time: Monday–Friday | 38 hours with flexibility

n

Salary: Well above award + super + salary packaging

YOUR IMPACT

As an Area Manager, you won't simply oversee services — you'll be a coach, mentor, problem-solver and trusted partner to our Centre Directors and leadership teams.

n

You'll spend your time in our services, building relationships, developing strong leaders and helping our teams achieve exceptional outcomes for children, families and educators.

n

You will:

- Coach, mentor and empower Centre Directors and leadership teams.
n
- Build strong,



capable and confident service leaders.
n
- Support services to achieve excellence in quality, compliance and operational performance.
n
- Identify opportunities for service growth and continuous improvement.
n
- Support compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations.
n
- Develop and facilitate leadership training, mentoring and professional development opportunities.
n
- Work alongside services during periods of change or transition, providing practical and hands-on leadership when needed.
n
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and high expectations.
n
- Regularly visit and support your portfolio of QCCS services across North Brisbane.
n

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

n

We're looking for someone who knows early childhood, understands leadership and genuinely enjoys helping other leaders succeed.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Proven experience as an Area Manager within the ECEC sector.
n
- Robust knowledge of the NQF, National Law and Regulations and contemporary ECEC practice.
n
- The ability to inspire, coach and develop Centre Directors and leadership teams.
n
- A calm, approachable and solutions-focused leadership style.
n
- Strong commercial and operational awareness.
n
- Excellent organisation and the ability to confidently manage competing priorities.
n
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
n
- A genuine commitment to children's safety, wellbeing and best interests.
n
- A passion for continuous improvement and developing others.
n

Essential Requirements

n

n




- Minimum Diploma of Children's Services or approved equivalent.
n
- Current Blue Card.
n
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
n
- Current Driver Licence and willingness to regularly travel between services.
n
- A commitment to healthy living and wellbeing and being a positive role model for the children in our care.
