Job Description

We're looking for a highly capable Risk and Compliance Officer to join our Risk & Governance team on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential for extension.

This role will play a key part in supporting QBANK's risk management, compliance, and governance frameworks across the organisation. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure effective regulatory compliance, risk oversight, and governance practices are maintained.

This is a hands‐on role that blends administration, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory support, with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful compliance outcomes in a regulated banking environment.

Key Responsibilities





- Administer risk and compliance systems and reporting
- Support the organisation's risk management and compliance frameworks
- Assist with preparation of periodic risk and compliance reports (management and Board)
- Prepare draft regulatory reports, filings, certifications, and notices in line with compliance obligations
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and management of regulated persons, including record keeping
- Coordinate responses to information requests
- Assist with AML/CTF and Privacy obligations
- Support governance activities
- Promote a proactive compliance culture

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

- IT literacy sufficient to allow for database and report generation using enterprise risk management system and learning management system
- Self‐discipline and the ability to manage their time effectively to maximise outcomes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Capacity to manage a program of work independently
- Professional approach to work (accountability,reliabilityand transparency), integrity and respect for ethics
- Intermediate toadvanced experience in using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

Desirable

- 2+ years' experience in a risk and/or compliance role in banking or financial services, preferably within an ADI




- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (APRA, AFSL, Corporations Act, Privacy Act, AML/CTF)
- Experience with enterprise risk management systems (e.g. Protecht or similar)
