Job Description
- Full-time, ongoing Teacher appointment, with Position of Responsibility
- To commence Term 1, 2027, or earlier by negotiation
- Salary range - approximately $138,000 per annum plus superannuation
We are seeking an experienced and highly regarded English educator to lead our Senior School English Faculty. Combining exceptional classroom practice with strong VCE expertise, you will guide curriculum development, support and mentor colleagues, and work collaboratively to ensure outstanding learning experiences and outcomes for students.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the profile and success of English education at Ballarat Grammar.
Teachers at Ballarat Grammar School are responsible for empowering students with:

- Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration (or ability to obtain), including a VIT approved Teaching qualification.
- Exemplary teaching practice across classroom settings, collaborative practice and professional reflection in English.
- Experience mentoring teachers with a focus on productive conversations which support goal setting, collaborative problem solving and feedback.
- Experience using and analysing data to lead pedagogical change and ultimately school improvement.
- Familiarity with the academic and wellbeing needs of students and strategies to support their holistic development.
- A proven ability to work effectively, constructively and collaboratively within a team.
