Role Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Food Services Assistant to join our team, supporting the preparation of food within the hospital and aged care facilities. Providing a practical oversight of all aspects of Food Services within the hospital and aged care facilities according to food safety laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation, plating, and delivery of meals and beverages
- Ensuring meals meet presentation, dietary, and service standards
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and infection control
- Cleaning and maintaining food service areas and equipment
- Monitoring and reporting equipment issues and safety concerns
- Following all policies, procedures, food safety standards, and OHS requirements
- Supporting stock control and equipment tracking
- Contributing to a positive team environment and continuous improvement activities

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, food handling and hygiene standards
