Beacon Legal have partnered with a major infrastructure alliance involved in the delivery of one of Australia's largest transport projects in their search for two new Project Lawyers. They are looking to hire lawyers at the 6+ and 10+ PQE levels, to be based in their Adelaide office.
n
We're seeking proactive and motivated infrastructure and projects lawyers to support the legal function on a nationally significant development. These roles offer the prospect to work across a wide range of complex procurement and delivery matters within a long-term project led by a consortium of Tier 1 businesses. The Commercial Director is highly respected and committed to building a team-oriented, solutions-focused team.

These roles will give you the chance to engage in impactful, high-value work that directly shapes major public infrastructure. You'll join a high-performing, supportive legal team and be involved in a landmark transport infrastructure project that will run for several years.

About the Roles
n
Senior Legal Counsel (10+ PQE):
n
n
- Lead the legal function on the project, driving procurement and delivery legal work.
n
- Report directly to the Commercial Director, with strong engagement with senior stakeholders across legal and commercial teams.
n
- Coordinate with the legal functions of joint venture partners and alliance participants.
n
- Provide legal advice on procurement strategy, project risk allocation, and operational delivery.
n
- Manage external counsel and contribute to strategic commercial decision-making.
n
- Support the Senior Legal Counsel with delivery and procurement matters.
n
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating major project contracts.
n
- Liaise with project teams, alliance partners,
and external advisors.
n
- Help manage ongoing legal risk and provide timely commercial legal support.
n
n
What type of person will be successful?
n
n
- Admitted as a lawyer in Australia.
n
- Practising as an infrastructure, major projects or construction lawyer for 6+ or 10+ years, in-house or in private practice.
n
- Previous experience working in or with project delivery teams highly desirable.
n
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
n
- Commercially minded, adaptable and comfortable working in complex environments.
n
- Motivated by working on nationally significant infrastructure developments.
n
