Job Description
Speech Pathologist | Perth | Paediatric OR Adult Caseload — Your Choice Full-time or part time | New grads and experienced SPs welcome
n
Mediix is partnering with a well-established multidisciplinary private practice in Perth to appoint a Speech Pathologist to their growing team. What makes this role a little different: you choose the caseload that suits you. Whether your interest sits with paediatrics, adults, or a mix of both, the practice will build the role around your clinical strengths and areas you want to grow into.
n
The team is a genuinely collegial mix of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and allied health support staff, working out of a modern, well-resourced clinic.
n
About the role
n
You'll shape your own caseload from the practice's referral base — and it's a broad one. Depending on your preference, that might look like:
n
n
- Paediatrics — early language delay, ASD, articulation, fluency, AAC, school-age literacy
n
- Adults — acquired communication disorders, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia
n
- Mixed — a genuine blend across ages, if that's the variety you're after
n
n
Day to day, you will:
n
n
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualised, evidence-based treatment plans
n
- Deliver 1:1 intervention, with group sessions where clinically indicated
n
- Collaborate closely with the in-house multidisciplinary team on shared clients
n
- Partner with families, carers,
educators and support workers
n
- Maintain clinical documentation and complete NDIS, Medicare and DVA reporting as required
n
- Contribute to team case reviews, in-house PD and clinical discussion
n
n
What we offer
n
n
- Above-award remuneration, negotiable on experience
n
- Generous PD budget, paid study leave and internal case-review sessions
n
- Structured supervision — genuine mentoring for new grads, and peer support for senior clinicians
n
- A caseload built around your clinical interests, not handed to you
n
- Admin, billing and NDIS claims support so your day stays clinical
n
- Flexible hours — 0.6–1.0 FTE, compressed weeks and school-hours arrangements all considered
n
- Modern, purpose-built clinic with a full assessment and therapy resource library
n
- Employee Assistance Program and a supportive, low-turnover team culture
n
n
About you
n
n
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology
n
- Speech Pathology Australia (CPSP) eligible or certified
n
- New graduates with strong placement experience are warmly encouraged to apply — structured new-grad support is in place
n
- Experienced SPs looking for a stable, well-run practice equally welcome
n
- Strong clinical reasoning, documentation and interpersonal skills
n
- Current WA driver's licence and reliable vehicle
n
- WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
