About the role

n

Mater Private HospitalSouth Brisbane is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to work within our Neurology and Neuro Surgical Service . This position will be employed on a Permanent Part-time Basis – 32 hours per week.

n

We are searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Enrolled Nurse to continue to provide clinical expertise in a dignified and respectful manner, working closely with patients and their families to ensure a sensitive, welcoming and friendly environment at all times , whilst providing optimal patient outcomes.

n

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Utilising a structured approach carry out comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients
n
- Within scope of practice, implements planned evidence-based nursing interventions
n
- Act as a patient advocate ensuring patients are informed and consent is gained prior to procedures
n
- Contribute to the maintenance of an environment which promotes safety, security and personal integrity of individual patients and groups
n
- Maintain and adhere to Infection Control policies and practices
n
- Complies with organisational policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines
n
- Ensure confidentiality of corporate and patient information
n

About you

n

To be successful in your application you will have:

n

n
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
n




- Recent nursing experience in an acute hospital setting (at least 1-year post-graduate experience)
n
- Previous experience within a pre and post-operative nursing care in an acute setting is highly desirable
n
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
n
