Make a Meaningful Difference Nextt is seeking an experienced male Disability Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a male participant living with a psychosocial disability. The participant requires structured, person-centred, trauma-informed and consistent care.

n

You will play a crucial role in supporting the participant to continue living as independently as possible, while helping to maintain a stable, safe and supportive workplace that promotes wellbeing, independence and emotional regulation.

n

Encouraging healthy communication and positive relationship building is an important part of the role. This includes respecting the participant's choices, cultural values, dignity and independence at all times.

You'll provide consistent 1:1 support while:

- Supporting the participant's independence, wellbeing and emotional regulation
n
- Providing structured, trauma-informed and person-centred support
n
- Building a positive, respectful and professional relationship
n
- Encouraging healthy communication and positive relationship building
n
- Respecting the participant's choices, cultural values, dignity and independence
n
- Supporting daily activities and community participation as required
n
- Following support plans and positive behaviour support strategies
n
- Responding appropriately to complex behavioural needs
n
- Providing overnight support and sleepover shifts as rostered
n

This position follows a two-week rotating roster, with two roster lines available. (You must be available for both weeks on any selected line)

- Day Shift (Base): $35.52/hr

- Afternoon Shift: $39.96/hr

- Active Night Shift: $40.85/hr
n
- Saturday: $53.28/hr
n
- Sunday: $71.04/hr
n
- Public Holiday: $88.80/hr

About You:

n

We are looking for twoexperienced, patient and reliable malesupport workers who can remain calm, consistent and respectful when supporting someone with complex needs.

n

You must have experience working with participants with complex behavioural needs and will ideally have:

n

n
- Demonstrated experience supporting people with psychosocial disability
n
- Strong experience working with complex behavioural needs
n
- A structured, trauma-informed and person-centred approach
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
- The ability to follow support plans and positive behaviour support strategies
n
- A genuine commitment to promoting choice, dignity, independence and wellbeing
n
- A calm, respectful and consistent approach to support
n
- Previous NDIS or disability support experience
n
