About the opportunity

At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Personal Care Assistant, you’ll make a genuine difference when it’s needed the most by:

- Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with mobility, including transferring residents from bed to chair, assisting with walking, and using mobility aids safely.
- Support residents with feeding, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and assisting with special dietary needs.
- Assist with medication reminders and support residents in taking prescribed medications, under the guidance of a nurse.
- Help maintain a clean and safe living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, including making beds and cleaning rooms.
- Assist with organizing and engaging in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
- Respond to residents' requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner.




- Follow care plans as outlined by registered nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect for residents' privacy, dignity, and personal preferences.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including infection control procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

What you’ll bring:

You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional person-centred care To thrive in this role, you will have:

- A minimum Certificate III / Cert IV in Aged Care or Individual Support.
- You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: NDIS clearance.
