With a growing national network and a diverse fleet of equipment, we're looking for a Mechanic with Access Equipment experience or LV Mechanic to join our Karratha team.
This is a great opportunity for a mechanic with strong access equipment experience who wants to broaden their skills and develop their career across a much wider range of equipment.
About the Role
Based primarily at our Karratha branch, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing access equipment while also supporting the wider Brooks fleet.
You'll work closely with the local Karratha team and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge across the different types of equipment within our business.
The role will involve
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing access equipment, including EWPs, scissor lifts, boom lifts and similar equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Carrying out preventative maintenance, inspections and breakdown repairs
- Supporting the wider Brooks fleet as your skills and experience develop
- Working closely with the Karratha team to share knowledge and build capability
- Assisting with workshop repairs and maintenance at our Port Hedland branch when required
- Travelling to Port Hedland for occasional short day or overnight trips
- Supporting the team during periods of leave and increased workload
- Ensuring equipment is maintained to a safe and reliable standard
- Completing service records and maintenance documentation
About You We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running with access equipment, but who is also keen to learn and grow their skills across a broader range of equipment.
You will ideally have
- A Mechanical Trade Qualification – Heavy Diesel / LV Mechanic or similar
- Solid experience working on access equipment, EWPs, scissor lifts, boom lifts or similar
- Good mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
- A current driver's licence
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Strong safety awareness and pride in quality workmanship
