Take ownership of the finance function within the Australian operation of a global engineering manufacturer.

Roto Pumps Australia is looking for an experienced, hands-on Accountant / Finance & Administration Officer to join our team in Dandenong.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting and financial administration of the Australian business, working closely with our local operational and sales teams and our international Group Finance team.

We are looking for someone comfortable working across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, invoicing, credit control, month-end reporting and SAP, while helping us strengthen our financial processes and controls

What you'll be doing

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare customer invoices and follow up outstanding debtors.
- Complete bank, supplier, customer and general ledger reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial transactions and allocations within SAP.
- Investigate and resolve accounting and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting.
- Debt recovery and liaise with external auditor/accountants.
- Assist with P&L; reporting, budgets and financial analysis.
- Support payroll, GST/BAS and statutory requirements.
- Work with Operations and Sales to ensure orders, deliveries and invoices are accurately processed.
- Liaise with Group Finance and external advisers.
- Improve financial controls, reporting and administrative processes.

What we're looking for You will be a practical,



commercially minded finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and getting things done.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience in a broad accounting or finance role.
- Strong AP, AR and reconciliation skills.
- Experience working with an ERP system – SAP experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Good understanding of Australian accounting and GST requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- The confidence to work independently while supporting a broader operational team.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, distribution or industrial businesses would be advantageous.

An accounting qualification is desirable; however, relevant practical experience and demonstrated capability will also be highly valued. Why join Roto Pumps?
