Urban Cranes is seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Receivable & Invoicing Officer to join our team in a full-time, office-based position located north of the river in Perth. This role is suited to a competent accounts professional with robust construction experience who can work independently, take ownership of the invoicing and accounts receivable function, and confidently manage critical deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and issue accurate and timely customer invoices.
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up outstanding payments.
- Prepare, submit and track construction progress claims through Payapps.
- Ensure invoices and progress claims are submitted within required deadlines.
- Review purchase orders, dockets, timesheets, dayworks and supporting documentation prior to invoicing.
- Ensure completed works, additional works and approved variations are accurately captured and invoiced.
- Maintain accurate financial and customer records in Xero.
- Reconcile customer accounts, payments and remittances and resolve discrepancies.
- Liaise with clients, project managers,
operations and internal teams regarding claims, invoicing and outstanding information.
- Assist with month-end reporting, reconciliations and general accounts administration.
About you
- Minimum 5 years' experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, construction accounts or a similar role.
- Extensive knowledge and practical understanding of accounting principles, accounts receivable and invoicing processes.
- Strong experience with construction progress claims and Tier 1 contractors.
- Strong working knowledge of Payapps and Xero.
- Proven ability to work independently and autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of critical financial, contractual and progress claim deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
