Adeptive Advisory | Australia-wide | Remote and in person | Associate basis
Help leaders, professionals and teams become genuinely capable, confident and fluent with generative AI.
Generative AI has entered some organisations faster than their leadership systems, policies or development programs have been able to keep pace. In others, it is still being held up at the front door by uncertainty, limited awareness or a lack of confidence to proceed, while often sub-par and high-risk “shadow AI” slips in through back doors and unseen windows.
Professionals and executives are being asked to make decisions about AI while simultaneously learning what it can do, where it matters, what good use looks like, and where the risks sit.
That creates a different kind of development challenge. It is not solved by another training session or set-and-forget induction program.
Leaders need opportunities to work actively with AI in relation to their own situational challenges and opportunities, reflect on what happens, test their assumptions and build the judgment to use (and lead) these technologies well. That individual capability, in turn, equips leaders to make better-informed decisions and lead better conversations about AI adoption, governance, capability and measurement across their organisations.
That is the work Adeptive Advisory has been developing and delivering since 2023.
Our approach is built around AI-Frame: Developing Your Generative AI Capacity , our published methodology for developing capability across four dimensions:
- Perspective: broadening and continually updating understanding of generative AI’s characteristics, capabilities, impacts and implications.
- Applications: developing real-world proficiency and confidence with major generative AI platforms and tools across professional challenges and contexts.
- Strategy: creating and maintaining a strategic approach to AI integration, balancing uniquely human and emerging AI capabilities for optimal impact.
- Ethical Use: ensuring responsible AI application through appropriate standards, guardrails and risk mitigation, with awareness of wider ethical and legal implications.
AI-Frame includes a 40-item diagnostic, more than 280 development activities and an experiential coaching cycle designed around real work rather than simulated exercises or hypothetical challenges. We have now coached hundreds of executives, professionals and teams, developed and refined a suite of AI-enabled coaching tools, and supported organisation-wide AI capability and enablement programs incorporating governance, platform deployment and leadership development.
Our work has taken us across an unusually broad cross-section of the economy: professional services; financial services and capital markets; insurance and superannuation; government and the public sector;
education and training; healthcare; technology and telecommunications; consumer goods and retail; mining and resources; infrastructure; and real estate. That breadth matters, because the AI capability challenge looks very different in a regulated financial institution, a public agency, a university, a healthcare organisation or an infrastructure business.
We work with professionals, CEOs, executive teams and HR, People and L&D; leaders looking for something beyond AI awareness: capability built through real work, experiential learning, and strategic reflection, mapped against a rigorous,
sustainable framework.
We are now looking for associates who can help us take that work further.
The work
As an Adeptive associate, you may work with individual executives, leadership teams or participants in organisation-wide AI capability programs.
Depending on your experience, this can include:
- debriefing professionals, leaders or teams on their AI-Frame diagnostic results
- coaching executives as they apply generative AI to real leadership and organisational work
- helping CEOs and executive teams build judgment about where AI matters strategically
- facilitating experiential learning in which leaders do the work rather than watch demonstrations
- helping participants translate experimentation into sustainable working practices
- supporting capability development across larger organisational programs.
The objective is not to turn leaders and professionals into AI technicians. It is to help them become discerning users and credible leaders of AI-enabled organisations. You will be inducted into the AI-Frame methodology, work within our privacy and ethical-use standards, and contribute to a practice that continues to evolve as the technology does.
Who we are looking for
We are not looking for AI specialists who dabble in coaching, or coaches who dabble in AI. We want people who bring fluency and credibility in both domains and understand the gap between confident use and discerning use well enough to help close it in others.
We are particularly interested in:
- a credible track record coaching professionals, senior leaders and executives
- confidence working with CEOs, executive teams and senior organisational stakeholders
- substantial hands-on experience across all four major platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot) using them on a range of real qualified work challenges rather than demonstrations or occasional experimentation
- a demonstrated understanding of experiential learning theory, and the coaching skill to deepen reflection, challenge thinking and help clients turn experience into insight and action (without taking the thinking or doing away from them)
- curiosity about how generative AI is reshaping professional and executive work, leadership judgment and organisational practice
- sound judgment around privacy, data, intellectual property and ethical use.
Some of our organisation-wide engagements extend beyond coaching into AI governance, implementation and enterprise enablement . This can include platform deployment, operating policies, administrative runbooks, security and privacy settings, incident protocols, access and connector controls, and eventual handover to the client's own people. We do not expect most coaching associates to bring that experience. But if you do, it is a significant advantage. We would be especially interested in hearing from coaches who have also:
- led generative AI adoption or deployment in a complex organisation
- worked with enterprise platforms such as ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, Claude Team or Enterprise,
Google Workspace with Gemini or Microsoft 365 Copilot
- helped design access, connector, data or security controls
- developed AI policy or governance documentation that executives and boards can actually use
- worked across executive, risk, technology, security and managed-service-provider environments.
One of our principles in this work is simple: AI governance should be sophisticated enough to protect the organisation and clear enough that an executive can explain it to a board without an interpreter. We welcome associates from anywhere in Australia. Some travel may be required depending on the engagement.
Working with Adeptive
Associates work with Adeptive on a non-exclusive contractor basis through their own established consulting or coaching practice and ABN, alongside other professional commitments.
Adeptive sources and scopes client engagements and contracts directly with clients. Associates are brought into work where their experience, location and availability fit the assignment.
Fees are agreed according to the nature of the engagement and the associate's experience, generally as fixed fees for defined pieces of work rather than hourly billing.
All coaching associates complete a structured induction in the AI-Frame methodology, diagnostic and coaching approach before working with clients. Use of AI-Frame is licensed specifically for Adeptive engagements and subject to our practice, quality, privacy and ethical-use standards.
We want this to remain a small, high-quality network in which associates contribute experience as well as capacity.
Later in 2026, we expect to open AI-Frame certification to experienced practising coaches who want to use the methodology, diagnostic and supporting tools with their own clients.
The associate network is not dependent on that program, but we know some coaches will be interested in both.
Interested?
If this sounds like an opportunity you would like to be part of, send a short note to
[email protected] with your CV or LinkedIn profile. Tell us what interests you about the work and what you think you could bring to the practice.
Please also include three brief examples from the past few months of how you have used generative AI on genuine professional, leadership, consulting or organisational work.
For each, tell us:
- what you were trying to do
- which platform or platforms you used (and why)
- what they contributed
- what you learned or would do differently next time.
We are most interested in how you actually work with these tools in practice. Relevant AI certification or formal study will be viewed favourably, but it should complement (not substitute for) demonstrated applied experience. If you also bring AI governance, implementation or enterprise enablement experience, include a brief example of that too.
We are looking to build a small, high-quality associate network rather than a large pool, so fit, judgment and depth of practice will matter.
AI transparency note: In keeping with the way we work, Claude Fable 5.1 and ChatGPT (GPT-5.6 Sol) were used to assist with drafting this advertisement. We will also use these tools to support our review of applications, including summarising and comparing responses against the criteria above. They will not make selection decisions; judgment about fit, quality and selection remains ours.
